Any chance there will buffalo chicken soup?
Ah the now famous Buffalo Chicken Soup at Alewife Baltimore.
No, we will not be placing that on our menu here. We like to let each Chef we hire create their own take on the Alewife Menu. Though just between you and me, back in the Alewife Test Kitchens they are working on a Buffalo Style Turkey Leg that is using a Buffalo Wing Sauce recipe we developed based on the wing sauce at The Bar Bill in Buffalo, NY. Early tasters point to awesome.
The pizzas sound good… but only on the late night menu? Can you order them during normal lunch/dinner hours too? Would be nice to have more middle of the road options for dinner.
Hello Leo.
For the time being we are only offering our pizza program from 11pm till close every night of the week. We wanted to offer something to our late night clientele, well as the neighborhood night owls, that wasn’t available elsewhere after dark in LIC. As for our normal dining hours, we wanted to do the pizza but not intrude upon the food program Chef and the kitchen is striving to create.
Think of our Late Night Menu like a Brunch Menu (which we will be unveiling in the next two weeks). Its limited ability is what makes it so special. If you could get it anytime it would loose its scarce appeal.
Hope to see you in here after 11 for a pie.
Finally made it in for dinner and was really impressed. Food was excellent and very freshly prepared. Can’t believe it is all made inhouse. The octopus was superb. Bacon salad soo good. Fluke was perfect. Could have eatern all night.
Had to have help with the beer, so many choices. Enjoyed it though and could come back many times and try everything.
Any chance of bringing the Veggie Burger from Alewife Baltimore? I have a Vegetarian wife (you may express your condolences…)
Not at the moment, although we have a great Carrot and Artichoke Tordelli entree that is vegetarian, and a Ricotta and truffle stuffed fagotini. She can get the mac and cheese with no pork as well as the green salad and the beat salad.
what happened to the good food you serve? this menu is as pathetic as the other neighborhood restaurants and bars!!
Business has been very slow so we good not afford to keep the high quality of food on our menus or pay those who are able to cook them.
We are in a transitional period to try and create more business, we are working on a much more simple menu that should also have a gourmet twist to it.
Please bare with us.
Best,
Patrick
Would love to see some of the great menu come back! Used to come in a few times a month, and now we haven’t been there since the menu changed.
were slowly getting a great menu up.
